I've heard a rumour that Gerard Butler has also been approached for Watchmen. Anyone got any more information on that?

Some new casting rumors have been posted on AICN. No word on Rorschach, but some talkbackers are suggesting Mark Hamill & William H Macy!!!

I'm not sure on any 'real' developments on this but Jude Law as Adrien Veidt, aka Ozymandias and Keanu Reeves as Dr. Manhattan has already got me worried, they have to get Rorschach right now even if Paddy is cast in the role or not.

The most reliable source for Watchmen related news is here.
If it's sci fi/superhero related they get all the major scoops first.
There's still no word on the Rorschach casting, although John Cusack is rumoured to be interested?

I hope we get the scoop first if Mr Considine is confirmed as Rorschach!

Pity, for what it's worth, you would've owned that role. Ah well.

Hey Check this article out:
http://www.chud.com/index.php?type=news&id=10741
Looks like this forum broke the news on Paddy not being cast and Jackie Earle Haley being included instead.

Aw nuts. You should go out and make your own Watchmen movie, using Camcorders and pedestrians.

Hi folks
Long time... first time... you know the drill.
Mr Considine, sir -
Far be it for me to keep bangin' on about a role that you were criminally overlooked for IMHO... but since your comment that They have gone out to Jackie Earle Haley. That's news folks! was released to a fanboy site outside of this forum and, as a result, has now taken Teh Interweb by storm and is whipping geeks the world over into a frenzy of proportions the likes of which have never been witnessed before (and yes, I carry my own Geek Card with pride)... could you see your way fit to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE elaborating upon your previous statement.
Have 'they' gone out to Jackie Boy with a contract... is there a definite offer on the table... out to him with just a casting call to audition, mebbe?
Inquiring minds need to know.
Thanks everso, and keep up the good work, my man; Snyder's loss (and ours too, unfortunately.)

What a buzz!!!!!!! What have I unleashed?!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot have the final say on anything, sh*t changes in this game very rapidly. I was up for the role, put myself on tape and alas, it didn't come my way. Jackie was the only other guy up for the role as far as I know. I don't know if I broke some karmic rule, but f*ck it! I was told that the role went to Jackie. He is superb in LITTLE CHILDREN and grabbed himself an Oscar nom. I think he's been a fan favourite for a very long time, and put himself on tape independently for Zack. That's dedication brothers. Now I sit with you guys and await with baited breath, the brilliant spectacle that will be THE WATCHMEN. An EXCLUSIVE! f*ck it, have it, it's a gift!
