Jigsaw is a mobster. A pretty boy ladies man who's face is scarred horribly by The Punisher. It's so bad his face looks like a Jigsaw Puzzle. Jigsaw's crazy brother is being played by Chuck Liddell who has some kind of imbalance in his body (sorta like Darkman) where he has an uncontrollable amount of adrenaline flowing through his body. I'm surprised Paddy I was certain you were Soap. This is a true challenge for you the Studio must have a load of confidence in you. That's cool.
One thing is see if you can convince the studio to keep your character around for more than one film. Jigsaw is Castle's arch enemy and to kill him off in one film I guess is ok but if they keep him around for 2 or 3 films it would be better.
It might not be a mega-blockbuster in the theatres but these films gain a huge following as time goes by.

Guess I was wrong. I half thought he was going to say "just kidding". Sounds like you guys know a lot about this. Lots of luck, Paddy, deciding on whether to do it or not.

This could be a very cool film. Again...hopefully Jigsaw will survive and be a thorn in Castles's arse for a couple films.

Tough descision to make. I've said it a million times but there isn't a single comic book movie adaptation that hasn't dissapointed me yet. with the exception of Tim Burton's 'Batman' and '...Returns' and 'Begins' they're all poor IMHO. But if the scripts looking good and the director looks like she knows what she wants then f*ck it, it's well worth a go.
| You can't even find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "Fuck you" right under your nose. Try it sometime.

Guys here's a Punisher: Warzone forum with a link to recommended readings and character expectations from the Punisher fans. It's a new thread over at Superherohype so it'll be filled up soon.
Paddy Check it out!

Noooooooo!!! Stay away from Punisher 2 Paddy, it will bomb. Green Street was poor and the fact that Thomas Jane has walked away from the sequel ain't gonna help it stateside. The last Punisher film was crap. If you want to do a comic book film, wait for a better project with a better director. This will damage your career!

Paddy read the garth ennis Punisher graphic novels, if the script is anywhere near to them then do it. I recommend reading some Punisher MAX by Garth Ennis, trust me you'll love it.

Don't believe everything you read. Tom Jane wanted the Punisher movie to be "Taxi Driver". Punisher is NOT Taxi Driver. It's more of Tom Jane walking because Lionsgate and Marvel didn't want to take their franchise and turn it into Taxi Driver. They wanted to make a ultra dark violent Punisher film. Lexi is a talented director, Ray is a great actor.
Definately get on board.
Punisher: Warzone is not a sequel by the way. It's not Punisher 2. It's a reboot of sorts that doesn't ignore the events of the first film either. The time line is after those events but it's not a sequel.

I thought Spiderman was pretty good keeping in mind I don't know anything about the comic. I just hope Toby doesn't get type casted.
Is this the one with John Travolta or not? Mixed opinions are throwing me.

It all means jack anyway. The original choice for Jigsaw dropped out, then they offerered it to me. I'm very dubious because the other films looked shite. Then whoever is responsible said that their original choice has decided to do it, therefore pulling my offer. The only blessing was that I didn't waste an hour of my life reading the script. That be the way of the film world. And for the record, I thought GREEN STREET was a gigantic mess. Lucky escape.

Ahhh. Just when things were getting interesting. Just because you didn't get it though doesn't mean it was a lucky escape. You win some you lose some. You're a talent so you have no worries. So Jigsaw is cast...announcement soon. Why do I have a feeling it's Vinnie Jones or something.

Lucky escape indeed! Rorschach would've been a different story, however. Would've loved to see you take on that.
Can't put the toothpaste back in the tube, though mate. This Paddy vs Punisher thing is ALL over the 'Net... Aint It Cool, JoBlo, etc. all running stories on you.
