The guy with the unconvincing cockney accent took me out of the film, agreed, Elijah Wood was okay?

I've not seen the film, but I remember reviews saying about that cockney accent. That's him that used to be in 'QUEER AS FOLK'. Now,THAT was a good programme.

Do it. Marcum and Holloway are re-writing Sutter,Santora, and Henlseigh's draft and ironing it out. This is not a DVD movie it's a theatrical release and Ray Stevenson is awesome. By the way Chuck Liddell will be your brother...can't beat that.

Ok after thinking a bit more Jigsaw almost doesn't make sense. I'm guessing Microchip or Soap before Jigsaw. Jigsaw is an Italian Mobster.

The role is for Detective Soap. I'm almost certain of it now. I'd love to see you on board Paddy.

just because frank castle was once portrayed by dolph lundgren (back in '89), what's that got to do with this movie? the punisher is a comic book character with a deep and rich history of stories. this isn't a direct sequel to either of the two punisher films.
also, johnathan hansleigh did write the original script (and yes he's pretty mediocre) but kurt sutter (the shield) did a page one re-write then matt holloway and arthur marcum (iron man, and i believe the incredible chulk as well) did another re-write to patch up the story. the script should be fine now plus the film has a talented young director, and ray stevenson who's totally badass as seen in rome is a great choice for frank castle/the punisher. so HELL YEAH, DO IT!! it's not selling out!

Wow! Started a wildfire there! Comic book fans eh? The role is that of Jigsaw. I haven't read the script yet. I shall be doing so today.

Now that kurt sutter (the shield) is on board thats a different kettle of fish, love the shield.. People are more hyped on here than when watchmen was on the cards! Jigsaw isnt that the little puppet thing from Saw?

Nah, he's a darker, unrelenting and more sadistic version of Punisher.
Tell you what, chief, this role could be a lot of fun for you. I hope the script is engaging enough for you.

Jigsaw (the comics version, can't say I know what they've got planned for the film) is originally a mob hitman, a classic tough guy street thug... he's ambitious, violent, and mean... though that all usually falls apart when he's taken down by the Punisher. Jigsaw has framed the Punisher for murder... drugged him to the point of psychosis... held his friends and allies hostage... teamed up with the Joker in a Marvel/DC crossover... and been brainwashed himself in to thinking that he is the Punisher. Seeing as he's the longest surviving Punisher foe, that makes him pretty smart to have avoided a bullet so far.
Everybody's really stoked that he's the villain for the film. I'd definitely take it!

Please do it PADDY!
The new script has been written by writers MARCUM and HOLLOWAY (IRON MAN) and is being directed by the Oscar nominated LEXI ALEXANDER (GREEN STREET HOOLIGANS) and is of course, a reboot/sequel combo with RAY STEVENSON (HBO's ROME) as the Punisher.
Considine and Stevenson in the hands of Alexander could make PUNISHER: WAR ZONE the BATMAN BEGINS of the Punisher franchise. The urban vigilante movie the character has always deserved!
